Niykee keeps writing music despite having been swept up in the latest crisis. She was hand-picked for this year's YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. At present, she is a magnet to aspiring artists, she is constantly looking over beats she receives and discovers that a lot of them end up sparking song ideas. I can tell if a beat is excellent after just five seconds and then I'll be able to get a tune in my head, and I'll start writing immediately she says. When I sit on my porch and play guitar, my lyrics simply come out and can be done in less than 30 minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her abilities as a poet and lyrics writer. She explains how the pain she experienced through the years is a constant source of unusual inspiration. It's difficult to escape the painful memories of my early years, particularly losing my younger sister. The memories end up getting integrated into her music. The memories influence my songs and builds this deeper significance behind everything that is among the most significant things for me. I want to be able to say that I'll be able to listen to any of my songs in 20 years down the road and feel proud of the things I said.
